Medical Student Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Is there internet connection at the residence?
A: There are wireless internet connections at all of our housing locations. Access instructions and passwords will be mailed to you in your housing packet.
Q: Is there a land line?
A: Most of our locations will require that you utilize either a calling card or your personal cell phone for calling purposes. When cellular phone service is not readily available at one of our location a land line will be provided.
Q: What bathroom supplies will I need for my stay?
A: Linens and towels are provided at all of our sites. Please bring your own toiletries and be prepared to launder your towels and linens during your stay and prior to leaving.
Q: Is there a kitchen available?
A: With the exception of our Astoria location there are kitchens at each location. In Astoria, there is a coffee maker, mini fridge and microwave in your room for personal use.
Q: Are there laundry facilities available?
A: Lebanon has a laundry room with a washer and dryer available for use. For all other locations, there are laundromats located nearby.
Q: May I bring my pet with me?
A: Animals are strictly prohibited at all of our housing sites. Please make arrangements accordingly.
Q: Is smoking allowed?
A: Smoking is prohibited inside all of our housing units.
Q: I would like to bring my family with me on rotation. Is this possible?
A: Depending on the location and housing available at the time of your rotation, this may be a possibility. If you are interested in bringing your family with you, please contact our office in advance to make arrangements. Please note, there may be cost sharing involved in order to make this happen.
