Vernonia Collaboration
Community Outreach
Our newest collaboration involves the community of Vernonia. This partnership includes:
- Vernonia High School
- Vernonia Prevention Teams
- Vernonia Community Outreach
The Goal
The goal of these collaborations is to bring all the community stakeholders together to maximize
cooperation and use of resources to assure that students will be able to make informed choices
when considering the option of a career in health care.
Projects initiated over the past few years include:
- mentoring programs,
- hospital presentations for health occupation students,
- a dental education outreach program,
- hosting of premed,
- Master's of Public Health students in rural clinics, and
- implementing new high school health career programs.
